New TNA project at USB - IAPW

Another TNA project within Aquaexcel3.0 has been implemented at the FFPW USB. The lead researcher Dr. Frank Pfennig from the Faculty of Biology, Technical University of Dresden, Germany has succeeded with the project “Alphasperm” in cooperation with the responsible and receiving host researcher from the FFPW USB Dr. Deepali Rahi Roy.

Dr. Pfennig will spend one week at the Laboratory of Controlled Reproduction and Intensive Fish Culture, Ceske Budejovice where he and Deepali Rahi Roy will explore the influence of fish behaviour on their sperm energetics and nutrition. This TNA project contributes to harnessing the benefits of behavioural science in aquaculture and for the future full-scale multi-year project collaboration.

The access is free of charge. The AE3.0 project will pay for the experimental costs as well as the travel and subsistence costs.

The TNA call is continuous so you can apply for access to 40 partners´ installations at any time within the duration of the AE3.0 project. More information at the project website.
